Win pushes agency into crypto vertical and caps 2021 as best growth year in its 25-year history.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — (January 31, 2022) – Ocean Media, the leading Independent media-buying agency, has extended its capabilities into the crypto vertical after winning iTrust Capital after a review, for its seventh win of 2021.
iTrust Capital is an investment software platform on which clients can use their retirement accounts to directly buy and sell cryptocurrencies and physical gold in real-time. Winning iTrust Capital in Q4 pushed Ocean Media to 25% combined annual growth rate over past five years.
Trever Gregory, CMO of iTrust Capital said, “Ocean Media is a valuable partner and has already contributed largely to our recent growth. We’re pleased to see the way they prioritize their clients’ success and look forward to working with the team to efficiently scale our marketing efforts.”
“It’s exciting that our agency is expanding into the crypto category. Our experience and analytics platform will help us hit the ground running in 2022” said Jay Langan, President of Ocean Media.
In addition to iTrust, Ocean Media won six other accounts last year, including: Groupon, a global e-commerce marketplace connecting subscribers with local merchants; KHealth, a digital tele healthcare company; Policy Genius, an online insurance company; Aura, an identity and fraud-protection company; Constant Contact, a suite of digital marketing tools for small businesses and non-profits; and DePop, a global fashion app on which to buy and sell items with a focus on sustainability.
The agency added 75 new staffers to handle the existing client growth along with these new business wins over the past year.
Langan attributed the momentum to the continued investment in technology over the past few years. This included building out its vast data libraries, as well as delivering real time dashboards to track performance metrics across the entire media ecosystem including television, CTV, digital, social, and audio. The agency also upgraded its advanced machine-learning modeling capabilities to predict the best future investments for partners both within and across channels.
