Senior Digital Media Buyer, Social Media Lead

Job description

Senior Digital Media Buyer, Social Media Lead plays a crucial role in the implementation, daily management, and optimization of assigned programmatic campaigns, with a focus on social media. This position will assist in strategy and planning responsibilities for both current and potential clients. As the team’s subject matter expert in social media buying, the Senior Digital Media Buyer, Social Media Lead will continue to serve as a knowledge hub. A thorough, hands-on knowledge of social media platforms, advertising tools, and industry best practices remains foundational.

In addition to current responsibilities, the Senior Digital Media Buyer, Social Media Lead will take a lead role in managing relationships with social media platform representatives. This includes fostering collaborative partnerships, staying informed about industry trends, and engaging proactively with platform stakeholders to enhance the success of social media initiatives.

A critical eye for detail and a love for data analysis is a must. Experience with online video campaigns and accounts that focus on CPA and ROI is a strong plus.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for assigned campaigns and lead internal and external discussions on campaign strategy and performance
  • Provide clear, actionable, insightful campaign recommendations to internal account teams and the client directly
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day internal and external point of contact for specific assigned accounts.
  • Own the day-to-day management and optimization of assigned programmatic and social campaigns
  • Pulls and analyzes campaign performance reports to inform daily optimizations and testing recommendations
  • Ensures that campaign KPIs and objectives are met both near and long term.
  • Prepares research and insights to inform ongoing media recommendations
  • Manages budget allocations and bid parameters to deliver most efficient results
  • Works with Digital Media Associate to prepare weekly client reporting
  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert in social media buying
  • Attend relevant industry conferences/webinars to stay informed on trends and contribute to the advancement of social media buying strategies
  • Proactively staying informed about the latest industry updates and trends, fostering a collaborative environment by sharing key insights with the team regularly
  • Assists with account reconciliation
  • Follows all company health and safety procedures
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

 

 

Supervisory responsibilities

May be responsible for supervising the work of Digital Media Associates

Education and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required

Experience
  • 3-5 years related experience required
  • Must have experience setting up, managing, and optimizing programmatic campaigns via DV360, Google Ads, The Trade Desk and Meta Ads Manager. Must be extremely detail oriented, passionate about data analysis and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word
  • Must be experienced in analyzing data and market research.

 

Specific knowledge required
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices with the ability to apply this knowledge in common business situations
  •  Must have experience with Google’s Marketing Platform (DV360 & CM360), Google Ads, The Trade Desk and Meta Ads Manager.
  • A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must.

Compensation Range: $80-$100k/year. This is the pay range Ocean Media reasonably expects it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on level of experience, relevant skills, professional certifications, market pay, and demand for the role. Ocean Media reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
