Associate Media Director, Programmatic

Job description

Associate Media Director, Programmatic is responsible for the implementation, daily management and optimization of assigned programmatic campaigns. Responsibilities also include the training, management, and support of Digital Media Buyers. This position will assist in strategy and planning responsibilities including research and insights derived from past campaign performance and cross-client learnings. A thorough, hands on knowledge of programmatic media, Google’s Marketing Platform (CM360 & DV360), Google Ads, The Trade Desk, and Meta’s Ad Manager is required. A critical eye for detail and a love for data analysis is a must. Experience with online video campaigns and accounts that focus on CPA and ROI is a strong plus. Demonstrated success as a manager and trainer is a requirement.

As the team’s subject matter expert on YouTube, this position will continue to serve as an information hub. A knowledge of the platform, advertising tools/capabilities, and industry best practices remains foundational.

Associate Media Director, Programmatic will also be responsible for working with the Director of Programmatic Operations on departmental personnel management and strategies and objectives for continued growth.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for assigned campaigns and lead internal and external discussions on campaign strategy and performance
  • Provide clear, actionable, insightful campaign recommendations to internal account teams and the client directly
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day manager for the digital media buyers including training, periodic and annual reviews, personal goal setting, and assisting in any disciplinary action as needed.
  • Own the day-to-day management and optimization of assigned programmatic campaigns
  • Pulls and analyzes campaign performance reports to inform daily optimizations and testing recommendations
  • Ensures that campaign KPIs and objectives are met both near and long term.
  • Manages budget allocations and bid parameters to deliver most efficient results
  • Prepares research and insights to inform ongoing media recommendations
  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert with YouTube
  • Attend relevant industry conferences/webinars to stay informed on trends and contribute to the advancement of social media buying strategies
  • Proactively staying informed about the latest industry updates and trends, fostering a collaborative environment by sharing key insights with the team regularly
  • Assists with account reconciliation
  • Follows all company health and safety procedures
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Supervisory responsibilities

Responsible for managing the Digital Media Buyers. Duties include, but are not limited to, training, periodic and annual reviews, personal goal setting, and assisting in any disciplinary action.

Education and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)

 

Experience
  • 3-5 years related experience required
  • Must have experience setting up, managing, and optimizing programmatic campaigns via DV360, Google Ads, The Trade Desk and Meta Ads Manager. Must be extremely detail oriented, passionate about data analysis and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word
Specific knowledge required
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices with the ability to apply this knowledge in common business situations
  •  Must have experience with Google’s Marketing Platform (DV360 & CM360), Google Ads, The Trade Desk and Meta Ads Manager
  • A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must.

Compensation Range: $90-$120k/year. This is the pay range Ocean Media reasonably expects it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on level of experience, relevant skills, professional certifications, market pay, and demand for the role. Ocean Media reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
