Ocean Media Named Media Buying Agency of Record for Experian Account
LOS ANGELES– Ocean Media, a media planning and buying agency that specializes in direct response advertising, today announced that Experian Consumer Direct, a division of Experian, has selected them to handle offline media planning and buying responsibilities.
The selection of Ocean Media marks the return of a successful partnership between the two companies. Marcy Smith, advertising director at Experian Consumer Direct said, “We worked with Ocean Media two years ago and found them to be an excellent partner that helped fuel the initial growth of FreeCreditReport.com. The team at Ocean will be instrumental in helping us capitalize on the continued growth of Experian Consumer Direct.” Smith said that Ocean Media assumes all planning and buying duties at the end of January. Experian Consumer Direct’s upcoming media campaigns will include television, network radio and print.
Experian Consumer Direct’s internet properties include FreeCreditReport.com, ConsumerInfo.com, CreditExpert.com, and CreditMatters.com. The company is the leading provider of online direct-to-consumer credit reports and products.
Ocean Media’s win of the Experian Consumer Direct account solidifies its successful track record with a variety of clients. Ocean’s dot-com clients include Priceline.com, eHarmony.com, Register.com, Gamefly.com and Overstock.com. Mike Robertson, president of Ocean Media, said, “One of the benchmarks of our clients’ success is the philosophy that media planning and buying should be judged by client performance. We have a strong background in direct response advertising and believe our expertise will help Experian in 2004.”
In 2003, media planning and buying for Experian Consumer Direct was handled by Corinthian Media in New York.
