The SVP, Growth plays a critical role in business development, focusing on expanding Ocean Media’s client base through industry connections and strategic networking. This position is responsible for identifying, targeting, and converting new business opportunities. The SVP, Growth will leverage industry relationships to create a robust pipeline of potential clients, ensuring sustained growth and market presence for Ocean Media.
Leverage Industry Connections: Utilize existing relationships within the industry to identify and connect with potential clients, facilitating introductions and new business discussions
Strategic Networking: Actively network with key industry stakeholders, including potential clients, industry leaders, and referral partners, to continuously expand the agency’s reach and influence.
Client Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, focusing on understanding their unique needs and positioning Ocean Media as the ideal partner.
Business Development: Lead outreach efforts, including the creation of targeted communication strategies that resonate with prospective brands, enhancing Ocean Media’s market positioning.
Proposal Leadership: Guide the development of compelling new business proposals and presentations, ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each potential client.
Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with senior management and cross-departmental teams to align business development efforts with the overall strategic direction of the agency.
Thought Leadership: Develop and share industry insights through whitepapers, articles, and social media content, positioning Ocean Media as a thought leader in the industry.
Documentation Creation: Create and refine documentation to effectively communicate the agency’s value proposition, both internally and externally.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Marketing, or a related field
10+ years of experience in business development, client acquisition, or a related role within the media or advertising industry.
Proven track record of successfully leveraging industry connections to generate new business
Compensation Range: $150-$300k/year + commission. This is the pay range Ocean Media reasonably expects it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on level of experience, relevant skills, professional certifications, market pay, and demand for the role. Ocean Media reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
