JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Content Manager to join our Ocean Media, a Media Planning and Buying Agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the creation, distribution, and management of content on behalf of the agency. They will be in charge of overseeing the content production process, from ideation to distribution, to ensure that all content meets objectives for our agency.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement content strategies for clients based on their marketing objectives and target audience
  • Manage the content creation process, including ideation, writing, editing, and proofreading
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and other team members to create high-quality, engaging content
  • Ensure that all content is SEO optimized, adheres to brand guidelines, and meets editorial standards
  • Manage the distribution of content across various channels, including social media, websites, and email marketing campaigns
  • Measure and analyze the performance of content using analytics tools to make data-driven decisions and optimize future content strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in content creation and distribution
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Education and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in content management or a related role
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with analytics tools
  • Experience with social media management and email marketing campaigns
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

Compensation Range: $70k-$100k/year. This is the pay range Ocean Media reasonably expects it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on level of experience, relevant skills, professional certifications, market pay, and demand for the role. Ocean Media reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
