30 Second Ad Rates for the 2014 Academy Awards
30 second advertising rates for the 2014 Academy Awards have hit all-time highs for the annual broadcast. At around $1.9 million for each 30 seconds of advertising, rates are about $100,000 higher than the previous record in 2008.
Four full months shy of the Oscars airing on March 2nd, ABC’s complete inventory of ad slots have already been bought up. It took until Christmas for ABC to sell out all its inventory last year.
Despite fluctuations in ratings over the past few years, advertisers are definitely valuing the live event as a marquee place to spread the word on their products.
