Traveling with family and friends is fun. And now it can be financially rewarding, too. Today, priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN) announced its Bring-A-Friend Hotel Bonus Cash promotion that lets customers earn $100 in hotel bonus cash for use on a future Name Your Own Price ® trip simply by booking two or more rooms at the same time for an upcoming trip.
“With a family or group vacation, there’s usually someone who’s responsible for planning the trip and booking travel for everyone,” said priceline.com’s Chief Marketing Officer Brett Keller. “We wanted to make sure that person was recognized for her or his hard work with a nice big ‘thank-you’ from priceline.com. We hope that customers who receive our bonus cash will treat themselves to a well-deserved second vacation.”
Customers can book their rooms using priceline.com’s Name Your Own Price® hotel service, Priceline’s Vacation Packages service, or its published-price hotel service (Marriott-branded hotels booked through the published-price service do not qualify for bonus cash). Rooms must be booked by June 15, 2009, for travel by September 1, 2009. All rooms must be booked using the same credit card.
Once customers book the required two or more rooms and complete their trip, they will receive a bonus cash coupon for future Name Your Own Price® hotel stays. The coupon allows them to apply $20 of bonus cash per day for up to five days (or $100) toward a future Name Your Own Price® hotel booking. Bonus cash can be applied to hotel bookings made up until December 31, 2009.

Priceline.com offers a number of ways for consumers to save on their summer vacations. Customers who use priceline.com’s Name Your Own Price® hotel service can save up to 50% compared to the published prices shown on other major online hotel reservation services. With priceline.com’s Name Your Own Price® hotel service, customers choose their travel dates, the area and star level they want, and the offer price they want. Priceline.com then works to find a hotel willing to accept that price. Customers do not know their exact hotel until after the booking, which is nonrefundable, is complete.
Priceline.com’s published price hotel service offers a full spectrum of thousands of quality hotels around the world. Priceline.com offers reduced booking fees on its published-price hotel rooms and does not charge fees for changing or cancelling published price hotel rooms, which are charged by many other online reservation services.
And priceline.com’s Vacation Packages service offers airline plus hotel packages to destinations throughout the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. By booking airfare and hotel as part of a package, customers can save up to $325 over the cost of booking them separately. Priceline Vacation Package customers also can add rental cars and tours and attractions to their package reservations.
