angie's list media buying agencyIndianapolis-based Angie's List, the nation's leading provider of ratings on local service providers, signed on today to support hometown favorite Sarah Fisher, of Sarah Fisher Racing's (SFR), bid to win the 2009 Indianapolis 500.

"I'm really excited about bringing Angie's List on board to Sarah Fisher Racing for the race this year," said Fisher, who just returned from NYC from appearances on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and FUSE TV's Top 20 Countdown. "Finding the best home improvement contractors, doctors, etc., is always a chore unless you have some sort of recommendation from a friend. Angie's List can make that recommendation and now what use to be a daunting task is easy."

Fisher, an Indianapolis resident, will make her record- setting 8th start - the most starts in the 500 for a woman - in the No. 67 Dollar General Honda-powered Dallara. Fisher qualified 21st and will start Sunday's race from the outside of Row 7.

This is the second year Angie's List has sponsored a driver in the race famously dubbed as "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." In 2008, the Angie's List car finished 11th in the race.

"We're thrilled to support Sarah Fisher," said Angie's List founder Angie Hicks. "She's broken barriers and is a great role model for young people everywhere and we're proud to be associated with her."

A barrier breaker herself, Hicks' business prowess earned her an Indiana Torchbearer's award this year, the highest honor given to women by the state of Indiana, and today she'll be keynoting the Breaking Barriers '09 event at the Fort Wayne Business Expo. She established Angie's List in 1995, initially going door-to-door to sign up members. The company now serves members nationwide and has earned national and local business accolades. Angie's List, is a source for home improvement contractors and health care providers, but also offers local ratings for mechanics, auto care, auto sales and more than 425 other categories of service.

SFR and Fisher return to the racetrack on Friday for "Carb Day" and their final tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's 2.5-mile famed oval prior to Sunday's big race.
